New This Week

Here are some new things this week...
* Jaden actually believes he is having a conversation with you.
* The boys both hate getting a bath.  They used to think it was great.  I do not know what brought this on.  Now they both scream as if their life is about to end.
* Both boys have decided to start throwing temper tantrums.  Not good.  They are small ones but hopefully we can begin to put an end to them.  I'm not looking forward to this part.
* Jackson is learning to roll a ball back and forth with you.
* Today the boys got mad at each other and started hitting each other....what?
* Seperation anxiety!  Fortunately, it's not TOO awful.
* When Jaden doesn't want any more food he still accepts his last bite and then (before swallowing) sticks his tongue out.
* Both boys are trying to copy our talking more
* They are getting more interested in books
* If they really want to they can move the gate I have set up on the living room
* If I put one in the crib he screams.  Once they're both in there they laugh for a while and then go to sleep.
* It seems like they can reach EVERYTHING
* They are both doing quite well with the sippy cups.  We haven't abandoned the bottle yet but I think I'll put them away when we get back from our trip.  This is good because my goal was to be done with bottles by their developmental 1 yr "birthday" (April 10)

I FINALLY got pictures off the camera!
The boys were sick again last week....grrr... I think they got sick at church. It wasn't as bad this time though and they are better now.
Next week the boys and I will be travelling to visit family and friends in North Carolina and are excited! Jared will not be going this time so we will miss him. :(
My dad is flying here to fly with me both ways and it will be quite an adventure!
I have to run but enjoy the pictures! More updates after our trip!

Been A While

I have been so bad at this lately! I'm sorry to tell you there will be no pictures in this post (I don't have a TON but they're still on the camera anyway). I'll try to update you on what's new....
* Jackson will now clap his hands. Preferably to "If You're Happy and You Know it"
* Jackson will wave if you ask him to
* Jackson is becoming much more vocal
* You know Jackson likes a song when he waves his hands in the air
* The boys are going to childcare now on the weekends which means we can sit though church - yay!
* Both boys are crawling everywhere and always want to stand up. So far they are only walking along the furniture but they occasionally attempt something more daring.
* Jackson climbed a couple stairs - gonna have to watch that!
* Jaden is trying really hard to communicate and copy us. Not super successfully but he's definately trying.
* I'm having to say no alot more! :)
* We got a bike trailer and the boys like riding in it - though they weren't sure about their helmets at first....
* Jackson is beginning to point alot more
* They both like picture books where they can point out things and let me tell them what it is. Occasionally I an ask them to find things and they'll do it.
* Both boys like to share now and are constantly offering me their toy and then hoping I'll give it back to them.
* They like to put things somewhere challenging and attempt to retrieve it.
* Jackson is throwing things
* They are laughing together alot and it's SO cute - but hard to get on film :(
* They're doing better with their chewing/swallowing but we're still doing alot of 3rd foods.
* I'm TRYING to get them to use a sippy cup. I have been successful but not successful enough to rely only on that or give them large helpings of milk.
* Jaden likes me to help him do flips.
* Jackson loves bread
* I think Jaden would eat anything
* Both boys are going through a mommy/daddy phase and cry when they see us so we will hold them.
* It is becoming clearer that they understand a good deal by the way they try to communicate.
