Bryant Boys Birthday Bash

Well, the boys are now a big one year and their party went wonderfully! Unfortunately, Jackson was teething quite badly all day and they both refused their morning nap so they eventually got fussy. However, we had a total of 31 people including us, the boys, and 6 other kids. Jared grilled up some hot dogs and hamburgers for lunch, we had a few silly games, and then cake and presents! My parents were able to join in the birthday song via webcam and the boys didn't know what to make of it all. Neither one of them seemed especially excited about the cake but they did try it and of course make a big mess! We had a really good time and the boys have all kinds of fun new things to play with - which is pretty much what they've been doing since then. In the morning when I got them up they were both standing up in the crib and Jackson had gotten to a box of tissues that he distributed all over the place. That night they were asleep only moments after going to bed - a little on the early side. It's hard to believe it has been a year but I look forward to what's in store for us this year!

Weight 20 lbs 14.5 oz(22nd percentile)

Jaden
Height - 30.75 inches (77th percentile)
Weight - 22 lbs, 1.5 oz (45th percentile)

First Day

We've had to remove the bumper pads on the cribs because they keep undoing all the ties! That is frustrating. Maybe we can put it back in later.
Jaden is now pulling up in his crib (that's really the only place) Once he pulls up he is too scared to go back down. This doesn't really make sense because he has no problem getting down when he's on his knees. Anyway, when I put him down for a nap he keeps standing up and then screaming and crying. He does this when he wakes up too....

New Stuff!

Well Jackson gets to be the star of this particular blog entry since he's doing several new things! Jackson can now pull himself up to standing, crawl a more "normal" crawl, and even "walk" while holding the funiture. First, some pictures....
Though they look a little bit of a mess, I'm quite glad I got a picture of the boys BOTH looking at me and offering at least a little bit of a smile....

Jackson puts EVERYTHING in his mouth. Not just toys, but paper, crumbs, and the smallest pieces of dirt you can find (or HE can find!). It can be challenging to keep stuff out of his mouth as well as keep the floors clean enough. Jaden isn't QUITE as interested in putting strange little things in his mouth - but he does like to lick everything...the window, the furniture, all his toys, the cat, etc. His favorite thing currently is to put something on the floor then lay flat on his face over top of it and lick it. I haven't gotten a picture of this yet but hope to because it makes me laugh. Here are some pictures and video....
