Jackson and Jaden's Third Birthday Party

On Saturday we had a birthday party for the boys and they had a blast! It was a tiring day but fun. The weather was BEAUTIFUL which I was so thankful for since all the kids could go play on the playset! The theme (of course) was Lightning McQueen and all the other Pixar Cars. We had a bbq, had cake, and opened gifts. After everyone left we had a little extra time with Jared's family and the boys opened gifts from them as well. Here are some pictures and of course a video of the birthday song! If you listen carefully at the beginning you might be able to hear Jaden singing Happy Birthday to himself as Jared is lighting the candles. So cute :)The video didn't turn out the best since I think the sun was shining right at the camera.

First time in the jumper

Happy Birthday!

The boys turned 3 on Wednesday and I can hardly believe it! We had a very full day. We wished them a happy birthday in the morning and they even had cupcakes as part of breakfast! I then had Bible study and we went out to lunch with a few friends after. Then Jared took the 2nd half of the day off and took them to the pet store (the LOVE LOVE LOVE going there) while I fed Kylie. We then went to Starbucks where they had chocolate milk and then off to the playground for a while. They requested Red Robin for dinner and after that we came home, did cake, and opened gifts. Long day but a good one. Unfortunately Kylie has a cold and was not herself that day but it all worked out.

I'm trying to get caught up here.
Kylie had her 4 month appt not long ago. She's doing great. I was able to check off everything on the developmental sheet which was so funny since with the boys for a long time I could only check off about half or sometimes less (because they were premature). She's off the charts still in weight and height though I can tell she's slowed down quite a bit. She weights 17.10 lbs and is 27 inches tall. She has a cold right now and a nasty cough but is still a pretty happy baby! I have yet to take a 5 month photo so I need to get on that!

Last weekend Jared had his first opportunity since being at our old church to lead worship. It actually came up last minute (as in only a few hours before he had to be there!) but he loved it. That Sunday his sister, Angela, decided to get baptized. I love how CTK does baptisms. Here are a few pictures of both...

Happy Birthday Jackson! You are a gift from God and we are so blessed to have you as our son! I love your smile and your laugh and the way everyone around you can't help but join in. I love how you keep us on our toes. You are a great helper and an amazing organizer! I love to hear your jokes and laugh together with you over them. I love how you always tell me you want me to carry you or you want to rock with me. It is wonderful to hear your voice singing your favorite songs in the back of the van. Thank you for being you. Newborn Photos

A friend of Jared's took some newborn (2.5 weeks) shots of Kylie and the family and here they are. The benefit of the 2.5 weeks is that, well, you get newborn photos. The bad side is that the mother has just given birth :) As you can see in these pictures, Jackson was NOT into it. At all. I was disappointed not to get a good full family photo but what can you do? We couldn't get one for Christmas either and I doubt we could get one today. My favorites are the ones where Jaden is holding Kylie. Enjoy...

Pictures

I just recently put Kylie in the walker. Her feet don't even touch the ground and I have to help support her with a blanket but she loves it since she can sit up and watch the boys all while playing with toys herself. As you can see from the pictures she loves her brothers! (and they love her - unless she is screaming her happy scream)

A Little Update

I realized recently that I haven't really kept everyone posted about what's going on with us. At the end of last year I suspected this coming year would be a year of change - but had/have no idea what that would mean. I guess we shall see as the year unfolds!
Jared is no longer worship pastor at our most recent church. It is a church going through a huge transition phase and they have taken a turn towards a direction that was not a great fit for us. It's all a very long story but in the end we are glad not to have to make decisions about it or dwell on it anymore. I'm sure Jared will be back at leading worship in some form or fashion shortly. It's his passion and is who he is - so he needs to be doing it.
Kylie is almost 5 months and doing great. She has slept through the night for a while but I'm anxious to get her to bed a bit earlier at night. I will still feed her around 6 or 7 in the morning then put her back to bed.
The boys are about to turn 3 (I cannot believe it!) and keep me on my toes! Unfortunately they are transitioning out of needing a nap which is hard for me. I still plan on making them have a "Rest" every day but that will obviously be shorter than a nap :)
I guess that's about it for now. I'll see what I can do about posting some pictures and video...

Olivia's Birthday

Olivia, a daughter of some friends of ours just turned one! She had a party a couple weeks back and there was a photographer. Bonus for us, there are some pictures of our family and Bob (the party was at our house).
