Reading
I've been going through "teach your child to read in 100 easy lessons" with the boys seperately. They really like it. Especially Jackson. I'm not in love with it - I think the boys were a little advanced for the beginning lessons but now it is starting to catch up to them. I skip some parts. You're not supposed to but I'm using it as a pattern to help me have a method of teaching and then fit it to their individual needs. We are on lesson 27.
Jackson is a little computer instantly remembering anything. Jaden remembers the concepts better than Jackson but when it comes to reading gets distracted by pictures and anything else he wants to be distracted by :) But both are doing really well.
Here's some video of Jackson reading his first book. It got interrupted which is why there is two. Jaden did not want to do this :) So for those interested in Jackson's reading skills.... here he is...

Welcome Quinn!
So excited to have a new niece! Here's Quinn newly born, meeting Aunt Rachel, and then Uncle Ben coming to see Jared and the kids in the waiting room!
Happy Birthday Jared!
It's Jareds Birthday today! Here's our little celebration. I lost our favorite cake recipe :( this one was close but not quote the same. The kids were sooooo excited!

I started a little update on whats going on with us several weeks ago and have yet to finish. In the meantime I'll leave you with a performance from the boys. The past few months I've attended a mom's group at a local church and the kids have definitely enjoyed their program. Today was the last day and Jackson and Jaden's class sang for us. You may very well find this boring if you are not related to them :) But if you watch you will clearly notice their differences here :). They have both been talking for weeks about standing on the stage and singing for us and hoping I would be sitting at a table in the front. This has happened before. A couple Christmases ago they were in kids' choir. Performance night came and Jaden was beside himself with excitement. Jackson was too until the time came when he opted to sit with me and watch instead. This time around Jackson was willing to go on stage without protest. But he would not participate. Enjoy....
This first picture is when the children were all told to move their line closer forward. That was too close for Jackson but he eventually decided it was ok.
Occasionally you can see a grin coming from Jackson when he sees me, though he tries to hide it.
The CD player was messed up at the beginning of this one
