WooHoo!

Well, after months and months of searching for a good deal we are getting the boys a play set for the back yard! I was shocked to find out how expensive they were even from costco! Some friends of ours were also on a mission to find one and the guys talked about buying new, buying used, and even building one themselves. Our friends ended up finding one on Craigslist and it looks great. Practically new. So we've been on the hunt there for a while. There's a few we've tried to get but not been quick enough on. We finally found one! We got a great deal. Definately cheaper than what you'd pay even at costco and it's bigger with lots more stuff to do on it. The boys are sooooo EXCITED! I'm not convinced they completly get it but they might :) Jared's off to get it tomorrow which makes for an EXTRA busy week (since he has to drive over 2 hours to get it) but the boys will be spending the day (and night) with Grandpa and Grandma so I can rest! Yay!
Here are some pictures of it at the other person's house. We'll have to decide if it will be sanded and stained. Hopefully I'll have pictures of the project if I'm around (the boys will love that part too!) but certainly of the finished product!

Recent stuff

We're getting closer and closer to our baby's arrival! The room is almost completely ready. The boys helped Jared build the crib and my parents graciously purchased our bedding. I'm getting alot done around the house and feeling good overall - though I do get worn out. I'm also tired of going to the dr. We're paying these people thousands of dollars so I can rearrange my schedule, drive into town, and see the dr who tells me basically nothing for 3 minutes. Lame. I probably feel this way because last time due to the twins everything was constantly being checked on so there was actual opportunity to see if there was a problem. I'm pretty sure I can check my weight and blood pressure myself :) Oh well. It will all be over soon :)
Here are some recent pictures. Some random, helping dad oil change, helping dad build the crib, etc....

Rule Time

Sometimes (ok, often) it can be challenging getting the boys to sleep since they share a room. We will not be splitting them up because of the baby on the way. It's not too bad in the evening but Jared has a short list of rules he reviews with them several times before bed. Sometimes it's really funny and I (of course) think it's quite cute. I wanted to record it before we switch to toddler beds (I think this weekend) so here it is if you're interested. I forgot to turn the extreemly loud fan off which was right next to me. Lame

Catch Up

Things are coming along and my pregnancy looks good so far. However the appointments are getting ridiculous. This time I rearranged 2 days of my life and family member's lives so the boys could be watched only to have the dr call me at the last minute to tell me they put me with another dr at a different time - do, more rearranging. When I got there I saw some midwife who saw me for about 3 minutes and spent the majority of the time asking me if my vision was blurry....ok.....? What a waste of time! Oh well. not too many more appointments to go.
The boys are doing well and constantly changing of course. They're getting their molars so that's not always fun but it's not too awful. We should be changing them to toddler beds in the next couple weeks which I really don't want to do. However, I DO want them adjusted to that before the baby comes so we better get going.
Yesterday Jaden got up from nap first and we went downstairs. When we heard Jackson get up I asked Jaden if he was coming with me but he wanted to stay downstairs. So I went up, picked up Jackson, and came right downstairs. When I came down I did not see Jaden. I then noticed the deadbolt was unlocked. I know it was locked when I went up because I checked it since I know he can open the door. Well, apparently he can unlock the deadbolt now too and was outside on the porch. I thought it would be a while before that would happen! He now knows this is not OK and I'll have to now keep an eye on that.
I got several new cameras recently because I never have enough hands for my other one. I wanted one much smaller that is more portable so I got a few to test. I've allready taken some back. So I have a bunch of random pictures, some not such great quality but I've chosen some to post here. Here's what they are of....
Jared's office went to a local baseball game. The boys talked about it all day and when we got there they had a great time but didn't pay as much attention to the game as everything else. They had their first hot dog their and their first pepsi. Well, they had tasted pepsi before but this time they drank ALOT. It was a little crazy.
They experienced their first playdough. I know, I'm a mean mom for not getting it out before but they've always been so entertained that I haven't wanted to get it out because of the mess and the chance of them eating it (which isn't that big of a deal). I got it out the other day and they had fun but wanted alot of very specific help! It was pretty messy but only Jaden tasted it one time.
The boys love projects and Jared and the boys made a pantry for me the other day. we have no pantry in the house but we do have a large closet next to and under the stairs which is right by the kitchen. I've put rolling shelves in there to keep some of the food (the rest goes in the garage also right outside the kitchen) but nothing has worked well. So they built some on the wall and it's GREAT! Now the boys can easily go in and out to get the toys that are in there and we have room for food we can find. I have pictures of the process but lost the one of the finished product.
The bummer is that one of the cameras I was testing I've lost all the pictures from. I had them on my computer but was moving them around and now they're gone. They might be on here somewhere but I've allready spent way to much time looking and I don't know what they were called. Boo.
here are the pictures...

Happy 4th everyone!

Singing

My new routine is to sit IN the boys room while they try to go to sleep for nap. Successfull so far. jaden was upset today for some reason so I rocked him to sleep but Jackson is currently practicing clapping his feet and seeing if he can balance his stuffed frog on his stomach while he sticks his stomach in the air. Sigh. Hopefully he'll be tired soon. The boys like music - primarily Hillsong. Really the main thing is that there are lots of drums. If they like a song in the car they ask for me to turn it up, if the don't like it (usually it's too quiet) they say "other one?" They sing "Yes Jesus Loves Me So, Bible Bible tell me so" ALL the time and I think I heard Jackson once singing his own version of "If you're happy and you know it" Yesterday they began randomly singing "How Great is Our God" Funny because I don't know when the last time they heard that was (same for Jesus loves me) except what Jared or I would sing them when we rocked them as babies. Maybe they've known them all along and can just now begin to actually sing them. It goes like this..."Ow Gweeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaat ow Got. Wing it me. Ow Gweeeeeeeaaaat ow Got!" they also started singing "Your love makes me sing" Ok, I don't know if that's what it's called. They sing "ahlooa, ahlooa, ahlooa, love me me wing" So cute! I actually captured some on video yesterday (they were pretending their car rug was a stage) along with a second attempt that just turned out to be randomness from Jackson.

I had a dr appt on Mon at 8am and the boys had spent the night at J's parents Sun night. However, we both woke up at 5 till 8 which is very unusual. Then when I called the dr I had to get rescheduled for the next day. That was lame but everything looks good. I only gained 3 pounds this month and none the previous month (probably made up for it though in the first months :)) and am where I should be. She did a couple of tests to check for signs of early labor and everything looks good. I'll start going in now every 2 weeks. I do not have gestational diabetes which I'm SO glad about, but I am slightly anemic. Just barely so I'll probably be taking a few iron pills here and there. She is head down which the dr tried to show me to feel - but I couldn't tell. I'm measuring 2 weeks farther along than I am (which is wierd because at my first appt she said I measured farther along also). So we'll see what happens I guess. It's wierd because at the beginning of this pregnancy I coudn't really compare to last time but now that I'm bigger I can tell that I'm DEFINATELY quite a bit smaller than last time around. It's wierd. I feel like I must be only 4 months pregnant instead of 6. At this point last time the boys were taking up so much space that maternity pants just were not fitting comfortably and I was wondering how I'd make it to the end. (I have another friend with twins who is super tiny and she can also testify to this happening so I feel better about it :) ) Anyway, it's totally wierd to think I'm as far along as I am.
Well, Jackson is still goofing around putting one hand on his face and smacking that hand with the other hand....ok....? Now he's giving his frog hi fives. I guess I'll try to get some more computer stuff done....

Picture Update

I'm sitting here by the boys room waiting for them to fall asleep. I think we're almost there. Hopefully!
We've had a few new things going on such as the boys using their baseball gloves. They're very into baseball these days. Everything is a bat. And they always talk about baseball games. Jared's office goes to a local game every year which is coming up in a couple weeks. The boys will be very excited.
They have also spent a little time learning to ride their bikes. Their legs are just long enough to reach the pedals though it's a little tricky. Right now they've leared how to control where it goes it by steering, etc and a little about the pedals.
We've also been able to spend a bunch of time at the beach which I'm sure I've mentioned the boys LOVE.
Here are some pictures ....

Oh, and for reference, here's a picture of the boys with the same baseball gloves when they were babies. People thought they were full size gloves based on how small the boys were - as you can see in the previous pictures that is definately not the case!
