April was a busy month. It's been decent weather for this time of year around here and we've been able to spend time outside and at the beach. Kylie experience her first beach fire. We can just go down the street from our house to the state park to build a fire. They are currently doing some construction there which means there is some machinery and things there currently but it also means there are less people. I'm sure all that will change when we hit summer! The boys love the fire. They call it the camp hole and say we are on a campout. Kylie seems to like it too and the sound of the water calms her if she's fussy.
Jared had his 30th birthday and the boys especially were excited about that. They made him cards and then we all went to Pad Thai for lunch. Jared took the rest of the day off and we went to a playground, the lake, Starbucks (where the lady refused to give him his birthday drink) and a place by our house on the water for dinner. That wasn't a good experience either but that's ok. Then off to build a fire at the beach. It was a fun day.
The boys are into playing with their trains and playing outside. The play really well together most of the time and this year is so much better than last year as far as meltdowns :) They've been taking naps lately if I sit in there while they fall asleep. Yay!
Kylie is doing great. rolling over and hating it. No more swaddling at night. Sleeping A LOT. Much more interested in food. I think she'd be crawling if she didn't have such an attitude about being on her stomach! She said "hi" as clear as day to Jared the other day which was cute. I'm not one to think babies are actually saying the words - just making sounds - but it was still funny. She's getting harder to take out when I go somewhere at night for fun or if we're on a date. But she's a good baby so all in all it's not a problem. She loves Anthony's (as do I) has knocked over our drinks, experience (watching us) at a Sushi place and joined us for alot of coffee. At her 6 month appointment (1 month late) she is 28 inches long (still off the charts) and is 18lbs 11oz (down to the 90th percentile)
Here are some pictures!
