To Explain All Those Pictures...

You will see pictures of....

Jaden and his "I stayed dry all day" prize. He's making serious progress....

Each of the boys feeding Kylie her lunch - something they really wanted to do...

And "new" bikes! They've outgrown their trikes and Jaden has been noticing and commenting on other kids riding their bikes around. Saturday we went on the hunt down south a little ways for the kids to try on some bikes for size. There wasn't much available so it was hard to tell. They seem kinda in between 12 inch and 16 inch.
When we got back to Bellingham we noticed some people packing up a girl scout yard sale. There were 2 16 inch bikes. For $10 each and the lady said she's sell them for $5 each. They weren't in the BEST shape but they were $10 total for both and we figured we could fix them up for not too much money and if nothing else, anyone would buy them from us for $5. Then we drove by the last thrift store of the day and there were 2 yellow bikes 16 inches that were quite a bit nicer than the ones we just got for $7 each - only they were having a 50% off sale so we got them both for a total of $7. They were not without their problems either so we used the first 2 bikes to replace some of the parts on the yellow ones. We had one set of training wheels and borrowed one more set from some friends. We can just clean them up a bit and they'll be great! The boys are so excited about them even though they are a tad big. They have some friends their age with the same size so I know they'll get used to them, it will just take some time. And by next summer they'll definitely fit better. Yay for good deals! You can see pictures of Jared and the boys getting them fixed up in the post I made yesterday :) Pardon the SUPER SUPER messy garage. We're in need of cleaning it out for sure! :)

  1. I wish I could see there eyes light up over those bikes! In fact, in my mind...I can! Congrats on such great deals! Love the photos of Jared and the boys working together. That kind of time with the boys will reap great rewards in the future!
