boy #2: no it is a seagull
#1: oh a seahorse
#2: nope. seahorses live in the forest
#1: well your frog has a black smile and my frog has a red smile
#2: we need to open that door. my frog can do it because he has a hand
#1: it's daytime!
#2: yay! i'm going back to sleep. i am snorin' i'm just kiddin'
#1: mommy! we are awake! it is daytime!
This sounds a little like how our phone conversations go. Sort of "stream-of-consciousness". The boys say whatever pops into their head, and I try my darndest to figure out what they've said. And then they say something else totally random. It's a blast! And then, of course, out of the blue with no warning, I hear them say, "I'm all done now, Mommy. I did a good job!" Even with the abrupt endings, I wouldn't miss it for the world!
